De Pasquale spearheads Bathurst 6 Hour hope

Shaw with Bathurst 6 Hour car

By Thomas Miles

Teams are starting to get set for the 2025 Bathurst 6 Hour that approaches next month including Anton De Pasquale joining the field and the return of a fan favourite Camry.

Team 18 Supercars driver De Pasquale will spearhead a Bathurst 6 Hour regular team that is aiming to step up to outright contention.

He will team up with Tom Shaw and Zaki Wazir in a Class X (Extreme Performance, AWD) BMW M4.

Whilst it is Shaw’s fifth consecutive Bathurst 6 Hour attempt, it will be his first chasing outright honours.

“Very excited to announce we will be returning to Bathurst for a fifth consecutive year to compete in the 2025 Bathurst 6 Hour!” Shaw said.

“This year we will be lining up on the mountain in the VSP Security Wholesale BMW M4 running in Class X. I’ll be piloting the car alongside Zaki Wazir and Supercars driver Anton de Pasquale for what is looking to be another fantastic event.

“It’s a massive thank you to our partners for making it happen: VSP Security Wholesale, Fuse Silver, Tom’s Auto Body, Advan Performance, Ric Shaw Performance Cars, Classic Sportswear, Sunrise Pools.”

The 710 Motorsport squad is returning to take on the Mountain for a second time driving the unmistakable Toyota Camry.

The car has plenty of history, being the only one that took on last year’s race to have previously competed in the Bathurst 1000, 3 Hour and 6 Hour events.

Having raced it in a special nineties livery, 710 Motorsport led by Hervey Bay captured hearts and minds last year.

Russell Greaves, Darren Goodard and Shane Logan are back and hoping to improve on their 33rd place finish last year.

“The show of support both at the track and online last year was very humbling, so this year we will give the people what they want and that is more Camry action!”Logan said.

The 2025 Bathurst 6 Hour is on April 18-20.
