Ojeda to chase Bathurst 6 Hour hat-trick from pole

Today Jayden Ojeda will chase a hat-trick of Bathurst 6 Hour victories from pole position after prevailing in qualifying.
With a 2:19.5354 Ojeda had snared pole from Supercars star Will Davison by three tenths.
Ojeda will share the car with George Miedecke and Simon Hodges in the production car classic.
It was an all BMW top five with other Supercars drivers David Russell, Thomas Randle and Anton De Pasquale featuring towards the top of the leaderboard.
The leading non BMW was Brandon Madden in a HSV with Zak Best showing pace in a Mustang to be seventh.
One of the big victims of the session was Cameron Crick, who will start the race all the way down in 68th.
This was due to his #118 BMW parking on Mountain Straight with limp mode issues.
In-class pole positions sorted in Q1 included the #77 MRPS Iolar AED Volkswagen Scirocco of Patrick Navin/ Nathan Halstead (Class C), the #500 Castrol/AC Delco/EFS/Total Parts Subaru BRZ of Alice Buckley/Tyler Cheney/Hayden Hume (Class D), and the #20 Beller Motorsport Mazda 3 of Adam Brewer/Andrew Jackman/Carter Fox (Class E).
A1, B1 and B2, honours went to Cody Gillis (#93 Waltec Motorsport BMW M2), Courtney Prince (#999 Team Buccini Racing BMW 340i) and Chris Holdt (#19 Axis Surveys BMW M3) respectively.

The 45-minute Trans Am opener was a thrilling affair and went down to the final lap.
Golding started from pole and held off Nathan Herne and Todd Hazelwood in the early laps.
Nash Morris soon seized third and had James Moffat charging from behind.
But the pair made contact and spun at Forrest’s Elbow and Morris was forced to retire after a clash with teammate Charlie Nash.
Mark Crutcher and Domain Ramsay also came to blows at the same corner, while Robbie Farr’s Bathurst debut ended at Griffin’s Bend.
The caution created a thrilling one-lap dash for victory with Golding, Hazelwood and Herne battling it out.
In the end Golding managed to keep his rivals at bay by just two tenths with Hazelwood securing second from Herne.
TA2 honours went to youngster Jarrod Hughes from Ben Gomersall.
The final race is at 9.55 AEDT, while the Bathurst 6 Hour begins at 11.15.
