Queensland Sprintcar Title postponed

The 2024-25 Queensland Sprintcar Title has been postponed with forecast heavy rain ending hopes of racing this weekend.

This Saturday night the likes of Lockie McHugh, Luke Oldfield, Ryan Newton, Jy Corbet and Brent Kratzmann were supposed to go racing around Hi-Tec Oils Speedway for the Queensland #1.

Instead the title, plus the Grand Final of the 360-LS Sprintcar field the Label Series will take place on the rescheduled date of Saturday, May 10.

Across each of the next three days there is at least 90 percent chance of rain fall with Saturday the heaviest as 10-60mm are expected.

It is the latest episode of a largely interrupted season at Toowoomba as it is the ninth night of racing lost to weather.

The speedway has realised the below statement on the situation.

This Saturday nights event at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway has been cancelled due to the forecast of heavy rain.  This is the 9^th night of racing we’ve lost this season, so to say we are once again devastated is an understatement.  Please note all online tickets will be refunded.

However, we are excited to announce that the Queensland Sprintcar Title and the grand final of the 360-LS Sprintcar Field the Label Series will be both rescheduled to a new date (Saturday 10 May).

In addition to this new event, we are also excited to announce that we will be running a Winter Nationals Sprintcar & 360-LS Sprintcar Series over 3 separate afternoons during June (7^th, 21^st & 28^th) to make up for all the race meetings we’ve lost this season.

Thanks again to everyone for their continued support of Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway.  It’s been a tough season for everyone with the continued wet weather we’ve had for months, fingers crossed we get some blue skies for the remaning events this season kicking off in a couple of weeks (11 & 12 April) for the re-run of the Nutrend Quality Homes Red Hot Shootout for Sprintcars.
