New look for special BMW
The unmistakably yellow Kavich brothers BMW that has been a fixture of the Bathurst 6 Hour is turning orange for 2025.
Supercars star Thomas Randle will join Ben and Michael Kavich driving a BMW at the Easter enduro which will continue racing with a powerful message but new look.
With support from Thryv, the usually yellow car will take on the 2025 race in a new orange livery.
Whilst they will be chasing victory, they will also be participating in a much bigger race.
The Race For A Cure BMW will again be raising money for Breast Cancer Trials.
In addition to Randle, who overcame testicular cancer, the Kavich brothers also have a personal connection.
Ben and Michael Kavich are second-generation racers and Ben’s wife Toula was diagnosed with breast cancer immediately following the inaugural Bathurst 6 Hour in 2016.
It was not the first time the disease had struck the family with Ben and Michael’s grandmother and mother were also impacted.
As a result the brothers used the passion for motorsport to make a difference and formed Race For A Cure, which has raised more than $250,000 to Breast Cancer Trials since 2017.
Breast Cancer Trials CEO Karen Price said the car has already made a massive impact.
The Kavich brothers’ Race For A Cure initiative exemplifies the extraordinary impact that passion and dedication can have in advancing breast cancer research,” she said.
“Their commitment not only fuels hope but also drives tangible progress toward more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for all people impacted by breast cancer.
“Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Australian women, and your support is making a real impact to the lives of so many.”
Ben Kavich said the new livery represents their excitement for the race.
“Thryv’s support fuels both our racing ambitions and our commitment to funding life-saving breast cancer research. It’s a bold and colourful move and we love it,” he said.
“We have shared an incredible journey with Yellow, but now it’s time to turn the page and write the next chapter in orange with Thryv.
“It’s fresh, it’s fearless and it reflects the energy we are bringing to the track this year.”
The 2025 Bathurst 6 Hour will be held on April 18-20.
